Description

Responsibilities:
• Assist in sales forecasting, receipt management, and stock to sales analysis for DTC channels
• Develop seasonal open-to-buy plans for DTC that provide breadth and depth guidance by division, class, category, sub-category, fabrication groups, attributes, colors, and style ranking (e.g., A, B, C, D)
• Set-up corporate buy template each fashion season and partner closely with Ecommerce to identify opportunities for streamlining this process and maximizing its efficiency
• Refresh size curves each buy cycle to reflect optimal size distribution within each category / sub-category / fabrication combination
• Obsessively monitor inventory positions to identify opportunities for replenishments, reorders, markdowns, and margin dollars levels and meet with the Ecommerce team every week, month, and quarter to assess and react to these in-season opportunities
• Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities; compare sales data of the planned segments to company targets and provide action plans to reconcile deviations
• Manage the sales and inventory at segment level and ensure that the merchandise targets will be met on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Monitor inventory positions to identify opportunities for reorders, markdowns, margin dollars, and collaborate with DTC teams to manage reconciliation on an ongoing basis
• Impact and optimize merchandise assortment plan through segmentation, category, and trend analysis
• Partner with the Ecommerce team on a strategic initiative to formalize the assortment’s core and fashion program within each division (e.g., RTW, Denim, Swim & Coverups) and propose which fashion styles should be reclassified as core and which core styles should be retired
• Work together with the VP of Ecommerce to build a bottoms-up, by-month merchandise forecast that projects the expected sales and gross profit contribution from each segment within the full price and markdown assortment (e.g., core, fashion, category, sub-category, fabrication group, attributes, colors, style ranking)
• Assist in demand planning for corporate replenishment program of carryover styles within each division
• Leverage back in stock sign ups to assess recut opportunities
• Develop in-depth seasonal returns analysis and monitor return rates by category to communicate fit improvement opportunities to production and design
• Analyze monthly DTC markdowns suggests and work with wholesale sales to align with company markdown cadence
• Set up and maintain retail B&M and Ecommerce daily sales
• Support corporate budget planning process
• Support corporate planning ad hoc reporting as needed

Required Skills:
• 3-4 years of previous planning experience in a DTC apparel business with a large, complex (e.g. 300+ SKUs) and fast-growing E-commerce channel
• Unmatched analytical ability, can manipulate and synthesize actionable insights from large data sets with ease, expert in retail math, and constantly recognized as a top analyst in prior posts
• Master of building complex models and forecasts in Microsoft Excel that are neatly architected for easy refreshes and are also primed for future adaptation as necessitated by business expansion strategies
• Ability to demonstrate logical thinking and problem-solving skills multi-tasking, time management, self-motivation, persistence, and full ownership of their success
• Superb project management skills with a proven ability to shepherd project contributors, compile cross-department stakeholder input, and ensure deliverables are completed on time
• Skilled written and verbal communicator with a knack for succinctly expressing complex topics who gets excited to share insightful learnings that will push our business forward
• Excels in team environments and invests in developing strong interpersonal relationships while maintaining an individual determination to accomplish goals
• Very fast leaner who often finds creative solutions that are both elegant and efficient
• Humble and intellectually curious
• Self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial atmosphere and can effectively prioritize work in the face of ambiguity

• Unequivocal Microsoft Excel expert
• Additional desired software skills: Shopify, RLM, Microsoft Suite
• Personal interest in and knowledge of the contemporary and luxury fashion market
• An undergraduate degree with a 3.5+ GPA from a top university is required; majoring in a quantitative field is preferred
