Description
Growing Apparel/Accessory Company is seeking an Inbound Logistics Manager. Will manage the operational flow of product through various levels of our supply chain, from overseeing raw material shipments to our manufacturing partners, to coordinating inbound shipments with our network of freight forwarders. This person will act as a primary point of contact for our warehouse and provide clear communication regarding inventory levels and status with the appropriate internal staff.
Responsibilities:
SUPPLY CHAIN
- Communicate with supply chain and freight forwarders to optimize shipping activities, while working closely with suppliers on raw material shipments to vendors, and 3PL warehouses on inbound and outbound.
- Liase with production and sales teams regarding shipments and inventory availability dates.
- Verify accuracy of style and purchase order data in Netsuite, as well as assignment of UPC codes.
- Identify shipping discrepancies on inbound/outbound shipments (shortages, overages, damages) and quickly relay problems and determine solutions with the appropriate team.
- Share vendor violations and proposed chargebacks with production team, initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Liaise with international clients regarding freight forwarder information, packing lists, international shipping documents, commercial invoices and 3rd party triangulation documents.
- Monitor incoming inventory status at warehouse and international distribution centers on a continual basis and create ASN to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Generate ASN/Pick Tickets in WMS for transfers to and from ECOM.
INVENTORY & ACCOUNTING
- Develop a functional relationship with our third-party warehouse.
- Review daily reporting to monitor shipping and billing flow.
- Support inventory allocation and create pick tickets for outgoing specialty and international shipments during critical shipping weeks.
- Track inventory transfers to ensure inventory is added in a timely manner and communicate with necessary team members when there are delays or errors.
SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Generate ASN/Pick Tickets in WMS for transfers to and from ECOM
- Responsible for ongoing research and development of new procedures to streamline all operational processes.
Skills and Experience:
- Logistics and Warehouse Management Systems background required
- Exemplary communication, organizational and follow-through skills
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Excel, Netsuite, RLM
- Ability to work well with others, with a willingness to take on challenges with a positive attitude
